Healthy Lifestyle Modification Programs

The aim of this program is to help participants to develop healthy eating habits and a healthy lifestyle, so to manage the risk factors for heart diseases, stroke and other chronic diseases. The healthy lifestyle modification program is conducted by our certified physical trainer and registered dietitian. Program includes two components which are dietary consultations and physical training.

Dietitian Consultation – our registered dietitian will provide medical nutrition therapy, along with proper medical treatment if needed, to achieve the best results for disease management. Base on individual’s health and nutritional status, lifestyle and eating habits, dietitian will provide clients with tailor-made eating plan and practical dietary advices.

Physical Training - base on individual’s health status and habits, our physical trainer will provide clients with safe and practical exercise prescriptions. Our center’s gym is well-equipped with home exercise tools such as Fit ball, elastic bands, dumbbells and a stationary bike, and our physical trainer will design you with a personalized exercise plan.

Healthy Lifestyle Modification Program is suitable for the following people:

  • Overweight or obese (can achieve 8 – 10% weight loss of current weight)

  • People with high blood cholesterol

  • People with high blood pressure

  • People with diabetes

  • People with other metabolic diseases such as fatty liver, high uric acid or gout

  • People who are concern about their heart health

Dietitian Consultation
First Consultation
(45-60 minutes per session)
  • Measures weight, body fat and diet assessment
  • Set personal target (e.g. weight, blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol level etc.)
  • Designs personalized meal plan
  • Self monitoring of eating habits by filling out food diary
Follow-up Consultation
(20-30 minutes per session)
  • Measures weight, body fat and review diet and exercise record

  • Reviews diet accordingly

  • Educates on new nutrition topics such as:

  • Food exchanges

  • Healthy eating out and cooking methods

  • Understanding dietary fats and foods with heart protective factors

  • Blood sugar control via foods and carbohydrates exchanges

  • DASH Diet and blood pressure

  • How to read nutrition labels

  • Glycemic index and blood sugar

  • Antioxidants and health

  • Myths about diet and exercise

First Consultation

(45-60 minutes per session)
  • Educates on cardio exercise and health (elementary level)

  • Instructs basic home cardio exercise demonstration

  • Provides personalized exercise prescription

Training Session
(60 minutes per session)
  • Reviews exercise prescription accordingly

  • Educates on resistant exercise and health (elementary level)

  • Basic home resistance exercise demonstration

  • Aim to demonstrate a set of home exercise at each session (e.g. rowing, dumbbell chest press, crunches, bicep curls, triceps extension etc.)

  • Provides personalized exercise prescription

  • Reviews cardio exercise prescription and may increase duration and intensity

* Home exercise equipment will be provided to clients, based on duration of exercise program​
