PACIFIC DIETETIC & EXERCISE CONSULTANT
Pre-natal Nutrition and Exercise Program
Before and during pregnancy, the overall health and nutrition status of women is highly important. The amount to eat, healthy weight gain, diet restrictions and the use of dietary supplements are all common questions to many pregnant women.
At the same time, many pregnant women have no knowledge on how to exercise safely. Exercise during pregnancy is proven to have health benefits, such as strengthening the muscles of pregnant women, which lessen the discomfort during pregnancy while making the delivery process smooth. Appropriate breathing skills also help with easing the pain during pregnancy. Pelvic floor muscle exercise helps prevent urinary incontinence.
The "Pre-natal" program is specifically designed for pregnant women. It aims to ensure adequate nutrient intake during pregnancy, to empower pregnant women with dietary knowledge and to teach safe and appropriate training exercise for practice at home.
This program will be conducted by registered dietitian, registered nurse and physical trainer.
Our centre has a small gym with equipments such as swiss ball, elastic bands, yoga mats, dumb-bell. Our physical trainer will help you design an individual safe and comfortable exercise plan with close monitoring to ensure the best effects.
